WHAT ARE SUMO DEADLIFTS GOOD FOR?
What Muscles do Goblet Squats Work? Similar to other squatting movements, goblet squats mainly work the quads and glutes. Because you are holding the weight at chest height, the core will stabilize the trunk during the movement, while the lats and upper back muscles work to keep the kettlebell or dumbbell in place.
Start position
Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart Hold a dumbbell or kettlebell against your chest with both hands by holding the sides of the dumbbell Pull the dumbbell close to your body and squeeze your shoulder blades together All repetitions begin from this position
Downward Movement
Maintain a position with the back neutral, and the chest up and out slightly outward Allow the hips and knees to slowly flex while keeping the torso-to-floor angle relatively constant Continue flexing the hips and knees until the tops of the thighs are parallel to the floor, the trunk begins to round or flex forward, or the heels rise off the floor Keep the torso erect; do not lean forward or Backward
Breathing Guidelines
Breathing Guidelines: Inhale during the downward movement and exhale after the sticking point of the upward movement
Note:The goblet squat can help you identify and fix some of the common problems that occur during all types of squats Keep your torso upright and Bend your knees carefully
